SUGAR CANE MILL AT THE FARM

Day fourteen of November’s
I am Woman of Simplicity!
Today I am sharing more pictures of our day at the sugar cane mill.
Lady Katherine and Mr. James, if you look close, I am feeding blue ribbon sugar cane into the mill, as Mr. James is turning the wheel.

Mr. James is teaching me to skim the top as the sugar cane is cooking.

Mr. James is filling a biscuit with the blue ribbon sugar cane syrup!Yummy!

The sugar cane mill syrup cooking shed.

I hope you enjoyed sharing our day on the farm, as much as my husband and I did.

  1. I just read both of these posts at the same time, so I got the whole tour all at once. How neat to go see this being made, and now you’ve made me want some. I bet it’s delicious! laurie

  2. Lady Katherine,

Thank you for sharing your exerience at the sugar cane farm. I have helped make maple syrup, but never knew how sugar cane syrup was made. Enjoyed my visit and hope you find the book, Searing for Eden. You will enjoy it.

    Enjoy your weekend.
    Blessings,
    Mary
