ELVIS AND LAVERNE
On a recent visit to hubby’s Aunt Laverne’s home.
Laverne has been collecting Elvis since before hubby and I were married thirty-one years ago. Laverne is now in her 70’s and has a sign in the front of her home, that reads Elvis Presley Blvd. All of Laverne’s collection, has been given to her by friends and family.
Laverne and Elvis
Every morning, Laverne awakes to see Elvis in her windows.
The bedroom walls are covered in pictures of Elvis. Hubby did not take the whole room, but the other window has a different picture of Elvis.

In the family room are collection of Elvis, In the glass showcase, she has Elvis statues, Laverne has, given her grandsons the most expensive statues of Elvis. Laverne is telling the family about each piece she collects.
Notice the the white and gold costumes of Elvis that are made of cardboard and stand life size.

Wall to Wall, Laverne’s Elvis Presley Collection.

More of Elvis above the sofa.

  3. It sure looks like she enjoys every single piece! My favorite is Elvis in the window. I saw the Guitar with the popcorn in it at Big Lots.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.

  4. Oh my gosh! I sometimes think that I get a teensy tiny bit out of control with certain things I collect, but no. After seeing the wall to wall Elvis, I think I am a very mild collector at best! :-)

  5. I love to see collections like this. I think it’s really neat. I used to have a sci-fi collection not much smaller than that, but alas over the years I sold off most of it. It’s really fun to collect souveniers from something or someone you’re passionate about. : )

  6. WOW what a collection!! It’s an amazing tribute. I can see why people stop by.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
    Have a great week.

  7. wow! That is just amazing! When i was a little girl I loved Elvis :0). My mom saw him a few times while he was performing in Vegas. Back then, people dressed up to go to Vegas. I remember her packing an evening gown to wear to the show. She’d come home and let me look at the programs…

  8. This is some collection–so much Elvis. I can see why it would be a local fascination!

Elvis looking in the window would creep me out just a little though:)

  9. Okay, I have to ask, is she married??? lol I don’t think my hubby would go for the whole place decorated in my favorite singer, “George Strait” lol Maybe one room……

She sure has an extensive collection. How wonderful.

  10. I’m not sure I’ve seen so many Elvis’s before. What fun! My mother adored Elvis and we had so much fun watching his movies together. I actually saw him several times in concern. Thanks for the reminder of such good times with my mother!

  11. Dear Lady Katherine,
