TABLE SETTING FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE

I am the proud 100th Post Winner from Susan at Between Naps on the Porch

I received these lovely red and silver ornament place card holders with the cards tied up in a bow. A sweet card from Susan’s cat, no it was from Susan. The card is just too cute, take a look!

Susan is hosting Tablescape Tuesday at  her blog Between Naps on the Porch. Just click the button below to see  more lovely tablescapes.

Now remember my home is in a remodel zone!  Hubby has not got to the dining room yet with the sheet rock.
I want to share with you my wonderful place card holders.
Below you can see my side board with part of my chandy, my husband and I made from three lamps and an antique bowl.

After seeing Susan’s stars she collects , I remembered an iron candle tree, I have not had out in years. Now my stars are not one of a kind as Susan’s, just oraments picked up at the dollar store. With the stars I used a few pearls, white roses, with two crystal candle holders on each side of the candle tree as my center piece.

My Early American Prescut Crystal  on the side board. The dip and chip holder, in the middle, is a rare piece to find.

The flatware is in a long  crystal dish.

  1. That is so beautiful. I love the crystal. I am getting ready to gift some of my crystal pieces to my grand daughter as I want to see my children enjoy some of these family treasures while I am still around to enjoy it.

  2. Lady Katherine…your crystal is beautiful! Congrats on winning the place card holders! They’re adorable! That card is so cute!!! Wonderful job!…Debbie

  3. Hey Lady Katherine! Does your poppy field have a woman with a parasol and child walking through…very small? If it does, I have it framed at my house!! …Debbie

  4. Hi Lady Katherine…I put it on my sidebar so you can come and visit it! I love it, too. My sister brought it back to me when they went to Monet’s gardens. My grandson has always said that it is a picture of him and his mom. So when I went to Giverny, I brought back a little magnet of it so he can see it on the fridge every day at his house. The colors are wonderful! Come visit any time! I’ll be out in the poppy field myself with my parasol! lol…Debbie

  5. Oh how beautiful your table and sideboard look. Your crystal looks lovely on your red and white background. The lamps give it just the right touch. I can picture it at night with your lamps on giving the crystal just the right amount of sparkle.

Each year at my company Christmas party we get an small ornament placecard holder. I have collected enough for 10, (I took a few that were left behind, hehe) They are all different but they are a fun addition to my table.
