TABLESCAPE TUESDAY- WILD ROSE TABLE SETTING

A SUNDAY FAMILY DINNER
This past Sunday, I wanted my family close to me,
so I invited them home for Sunday dinner.
A wonderful time spent with my children and grandchildren.
My table is set with Staffordshire Engravings Wild Rose dishes. My sister Gloria gave me this twelve place setting while I was in the hospital, instead of flowers.

The cobalt blue glasses, I bought in a shop in South Carolina. The flatware is a mixture of pieces, my daughter Suzette has found for me.

On side board, the two Early American Prescut crystal lamps, a cobalt blue vase filled with the bouquet of white roses, I made and carried in my both of my daughter’s weddings.

I went shopping in my house for a centerpiece, most of my things are packed in boxes, for our remodel. I chose two blue crackled grape urns, placed both of my daughter’s silk bride’s bouquets, which I made inside each urn. My oldest daughter Jennifer’s round white rose bride’s bouquet is on the left, on the right is my daughter Suzette’s mixed white flowers and  white roses, which had a cascade. I let the cascade join the two urns together. I added two blue and white candle sticks on each side of the urns. Suzette found these candle sticks at a garage sale last summer.

Close up of a place setting.

Front view of the table set.

Menu of the peach cobbler, homegrown peas, corn, green beans with potatoes, ham, butter beans, macaroni and cheese. Tea in the cobalt blue pitcher, I bought at Cracker Barrell five years ago.

On the bread plate is, cinnamon bread,

baked from my friend Hazel’s recipe.

  21. I am so glad I clicked on your blog tonight, so I didn’t miss out on this beautiful tablescape. It is simple lovely. I really don’t have much blue even though my mother has a house full of it. I’m about to change my mind after seeing your blue pieces along with other bloggers.

The food looks equally as nice! 🙂

  22. What a beautiful tablescape! So nice that your sister gave you the set of dishes, so much better than flowers that would wither and go away!

That peach cobbler sure looks yummy!

    Katherine

I know that you’ll enjoy your transferware for a long, long time. Sick and remodeling at the same time…God bless you in the journey. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
