MY CANDY LAND
I want to share with you my Gingerbread and Peppermint Land. I added a lot of new things this year and It was so much fun to see the children as they came in to see the whole room in a Candyland.
We always have our children and Grandchildren for Breakfast on Christmas Morning.
Then they have all the other family members to visit so we get just a few hours with them and so very Thankful for the few hours we get on Christmas Morning!
In the back ground is my silver wire tree I got for $1.00 at the annual Garage Sale.
As you look around my dining room You shall see side boards I built from the wood reclaimed from our wall, Drawers made into Dish holders, shelves I have built and a chest I did a crackle finish on.
I bought all new tablecloths this Christmas for half off from a store in Forest, MS
My silver wire Tree I bought at the Annual Garage Sale for One Dollar!
I did not get to get a topper for the tree, but I love it anyways.
I use it in my little sunroom during other months with blue birds, bees and flowers on top.
I wish you could see the silver show up more of what the tree is made of. You just take a pin out of the top and it collapse. I bought white wire lights for it, but never got to add them on. Maybe this summer I will be able to show you more of what my Tree that I love so much looks like.
Notice the little Gingerbread men train set going around the tree.
On top of the sideboard, see the peppermint bowls with Gingerbread Men Feet
I made the peppermint bark on the lower plate
My Gingerbread House Centerpiece
Those peppermint candles were to have chocolate mice on them, but I was too tired. Sorry
But Gourdy the Country Mouse did show up with his Santa hat on the right side of the house.
On Each chair is signs of Grandma Treats, Welcome with Gingerbread Men Wreaths
Another side board full of Goodies
A store bought Italian Cream Cheese Cake,
which I lined up Gingerbread Men around the edges.
On the top shelf is a Gingerbread Man that hold sugar, I love my new Chocolate Kiss fondue
Ready for some Hot Chocolate, Yes, I used my GingerBread Man Tea Pots, I have two

I had so much fun making these! Stayed tuned in a few days I will show you how it is done!
I just love them!
I got to go back and buy four of the little platters to match the small bowls on the table,
I bought a few weeks ago.
I used them to hold the utensil for picking up the food.
View of the shelf I made with the chest below I did a Crackle Finish on
Here what is on the chest, I use this chest as a Beverage Center for it close to the kitchen door.
Just another view

I live in a 100 year old Craftsman’s Bungalow, and we knew the aluminum tree was in the attic, but this year my husband brought it down, and to our surprise all the parts were there. The box says it was bought in Brandon, Mississippi, at White Auto Store for $5.95, I think it was bought in the 1960’s
View of The Boy Place Setting
Notice the buttons on the bowl and the hat on the cup
This is my new Gingerbread house, Thanks to Susan and Babbs for telling me about where online to buy it for $20.00 when it was regular $35.00 from Bath and Beauty Works!
It arrived on Christmas Eve, In Just The Nick of Time!
I just love that I just take the top off the house and add a candle! No Electricity Required!
View of the table with my homemade Peppermint Bark on the bottom plate.
This is the first time I shared a Christmas tree or my Family room. My family room is still being remodeled, the decor is Native American Indian. The picture frames you will see I have made. The Santa on the mantel, most were made and painted by me. My tree is our Family tree of ornaments since we were married 32 years ago. I add a Santa ornament each year to this tree. Oh, I see my Grandchildren have been moving things around at the base of the tree. lol
I hope you have enjoyed my sharing in my Christmas this year,as much as my Family and I have enjoyed it!
