A LITTLE TRAY OF TEA

Welcome to the 24th Tea Time Tuesday
This afternoon I decided to fix a tray of Tea, to enjoy out on the porch.
I did not add flowers for,
I sat on the porch looking out at my Cottage Garden,
full of flowers, butterflies, and humming birds.

When setting a simple pretty tray for Tea, just seems to melt the day away.
How relaxing it is to sit and sip a cup of Tea.
Solitude! Can be lovely!
I used my Royal Albert Teapot in One: bought on Ebay
I love this green metal tray, bought two from a shop for $5.00 each
I added a simple white cloth dinner napkin
Tea Tip
Using a cloth on a tray, is not a great idea for any Teapot or Teacup can spill onto the cloth.
See the Tea stain just below the teapot?
Hence the reason for no cloth needed on a tea tray.
Saucers Pattern: Royal Swirl Fine China, bought from a Thrift store
I have a 4 place setting: bought from thrift store for $15.00
A saucer of chocolate chip cookies, tea biscuits and strawberry preserves.
A Simple Tray Of Tea Just For Me!
The Teapot in One has a large cup which sits underneath the teapot.
Drinking my favorite Vanilla Creme Tea:  from Vintage Tea

  4. How pretty your tea tray looks. Biscuits and preserves, yum! I think tea can be and mostly is sipped in solitude. I can really have some good, dreamy moments having my tea alone. And you are right…who need flowers when you have them and all the butterflies around you?!

  9. A solitary tea to delight the heart! Solitude can very often be a blessing. A solitary tea with such goodies on the tea tray and a lovely teacup to sip one’s tea from, delightful!I hope you are feeling well, and your family too, and that the rest of this summer brings you many wonderful tea times, solitary and in the company of loved ones~

  10. Lady K,

You DO create such lovely scenes for even the simplest moments—and they are some of the nicest and most memorable, aren’t they?

I love every visit to your gracious home.

  13. You set a good example for all of us…we need to treat ourselves to a special setting for tea…even for one. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay

  14. mmmm…looks yummy! I love finding dishes at the second hand store. I found a wonderful collection of dinner plates for a cocktail party I was hosting last spring and I felt so good about using them for the party.

  15. Hello sweet lady…

Ohh…I so agree! There is nothing like a beautiful tea tray for one to wile away the afternoon hours! We often forget to “spoil” ourselves…don’t go to all the trouble…but we really should! I think that we are all very worthwhile the trouble and deserve to spoil ourselves! Hehe! I just adore your Royal Albert teapot for one…such a beautiful china pattern and certainly a favorite! I also found your teacup and saucer…as well as the dessert plates…a beautiful set! What a deal you got on all of these pretties!

Mmmm…vanilla creme tea? I have never tried that flavor and it sounds sooo good! Your tea bicuits and strawberry preserves sound yummy too!

Well sweet lady, thank you so much for sharing yet another lovely tea with us! It really was such a treat!!!

    Warmest wishes,
    Chari @Happy To Design
