Tea At Anchuca

Welcome to the 90th Tea Time Tuesday
A few weeks ago, we spent the day in Vicksburg, Mississippi with our grandson and oldest daughter.
After eating and visiting a few area we went to the mansion Anchuca, where my daughter will be getting married in November.
We happen on a luncheon the Red Hat Ladies from just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They and one of the owners of Anchuca which means Happy Home in Choctaw Language.  About 30 years ago I bought a house recipe box and wrote the words Anchuca/ Happy Home on it.
My daughter asked if I remember, when she told me she was getting married here at Anchuca.
Of course, I still have the recipe box.
The Red Hat Ladies wanted this photo for a recipe book they are writing. I did not get their address, so if anyone knows these ladies, Please leave me a comment, so I can email the photo’s on to them.
The dining room where my daughter’s reception will be held, as it is a small family wedding.
I just love all the doors, notice the brick floors in the photos
This table is set ready for a Tea Luncheon
As you enter the dining room, this is the first room you see, the ladies there gave me permission to take photos. Yes, Gage was a little bored here, lol until we went outside, where there are fish in the fountian
All my life I have longed for one of these chairs!! At the wedding I think I’ll have my photo taken in it!
The wedding will be held in the next photos, all this will be removed and placed with chairs
The guest will arrive here at the back of the mansion.

  8. Oh, Lady Katherine, I could not imagine a more beautiful place to be married! I would come all the way from Arizona to be married in such a lovely place. What a wonderful event to be looking forward too! I often find large weddings overwhelming, and I am so touched by the intimate, lovely setting for your daughters wedding. It will be a perfect day…
